The Opt Out Myth

More on the theory here.    On Balance is Washington Post’s blog for working parents.  This topic is very interesting.  Some of this talks about how it’s “ideal” for women to stay home because that is where they WANT to be.  When other research shows that the “happiest” women are those juggling various roles.  The term “working mother” has been around for last few decades, right?  What about “working father”?  Was that ever coined?  No, because it was assumed.  Sad, that we can not assume the same for women.  And like, who wants to define themselves at “stay at home Mom” or “working mother”.  Like, aren’t we all just mothers?  This gets me mad.
