Good post on Paid Content about Bill Keller’s (NYT Executive Editor) stance on news and the Internet – more specifically Google and Wikipedia as sources. I don’t have any profound thoughts on the topic, but I do have thoughts. There are many ways to disect this issue for sure. But, looking at it from a generational standpoint – the younger generations out there rely on these sources for news. They are not reading the NYT (for the most part). So, a lot of it is about perception, not just reality. If I could force everyone to actually READ newspapers and not rely on Google, Wikipedia and other sites, I would. I have been talking about this for years – and not really getting anywhere. Just something to think about. Again, nothing new, just a thought.

Today starts a new day in my career. I am still doing high-tech PR, but with a different agency and group of people. I am really looking forward to it! More updates to come.
