Larry Sanger (Citizendum) posted this today. UGH. Guidelines and policies. If you know me, you know I love rules and I stick to them, pretty much all of the time. However, with Web2.0 and user-generated content it is a much fuzzier view. I am in a toss up about this. On one hand I am all for free speech, etc. and on the other – we need to have structure. Say what you want, but there needs to be structure. Basically, as our mothers would have said “there is a time and a place for everything”. Outside of structure, this begs the question of credibility. This is such a large, abstract argument. If you can, read Larry’s post and give it some thought.
