Wow, what a concept. Big City Moms seems FANTASTIC. Too bad there isn’t one in Boston – or if there is, I haven’t heard of it. If you have, please let me know!!

Do You Have a Conscience?
Ok, so I stole the title from The Bad Pitch Blog, but I couldn’t resist, this makes things clear, as if there should be any question. I certainly hope there is no one out there capitalizing on this. Really.

Blog Fun
I was reading Todd And and came across this cartoon - I must be a real geek because I think this is hysterical!
For Fun…
…or not. My sister sent me this quiz. I do not get it at all, but apparently it can become addictive and fun. Not so much for me, but maybe you will enjoy.
Blogging Turns 10!
Who would ever imagine it would turn into such a marketplace
Bull Dog did a nice little recap here.

TGIF!!!
YAY, it’s Friday. So exciting. Not much going on – just heading out shortly to a client meeting, so just catching up on things before I head out. I came across this site for working fathers. James Mehring from BusinessWeek did a review on it back in January. I am still trying to figure my way around the site, forums and such. But the home page touts a book called “Fat, 40 and Fired” – now that sounds like a good book!

Blogging Guidlines
There has been a lot of talk over the past week or so regarding blogging and insulting people. Let’s face it, we live in a time where information is instantaneously shared with the world. Would it be nice if everyone played nice? Well, of course. But that doesn’t always happen. Life is not fair, deal with it. Tim O’Reilly wants to make “guidelines” for bloggers. I agree with the SF Chronicle, this just opens the door to censorship – not good.

No More PR?
Or at least it will change. I don’t agree with the synopsis of this white paper. Daryl Wilcox is basically saying that SEO marketing will essentially take over and there will be no more PR as we know it. I agree that things have changed and will continue to change and evolve, but as with any moving industry, the business of PR will use technology to its advantage, not the other way around. At the end of the day, a successful PR program is successful when you have reached the key influentials that you need to reach. Of course there are other elements such as media coverage, awareness, up tick in sales, etc. However, SEO marketing isn’t going to replace people. For a large part, or at least those I work with, PR professionals hold key relationships and that can not be taken for granted.

Off topic – recipe
Ok, I think I just made the world’s best potato salad. I used a small bag of gourmet small purple potatoes (you can use any small ones, I used purple for Easter), boiled them for about 20 minutes, skins on. Drain, and then kept them in cold water for about 10 minutes. Then, I drained them and put them in the freezer for a few. In the food processor, I put in a half cup of low-fat mayo, a tablespoon and a half of vegetable oil, 2 cloves of garlic and about a quarter cup of fresh cilantro, and fresh salt and pepper to taste. Oh, and about two teaspoons of dijon mustard. Blended it up. Then I took the potatoes out of the freezer, quartered them all and mixed it all together. It is seriously the best thing I have had in a very long time. Now it’s in the refigerator setting. I can’t wait to have more. But, I think I should only use one clove of garlic next time

Perks.
Imgaine a workplace that had almost everything you need? Check this article out from MSN regarding some perks that some companies are offering. To me, by far, the extra time off and on-site child care are the best benefits
