Social Media….Def Not Dead

Ok, so last week I blogged about an article in ComputerWorld that talks about some government official who wants to ban social media in schools.  Well according to Juan Carlos Perez’s recent story (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/02/17/AR2007021700005.html?nav=rss_technology/personaltech) WikiPedia is not going anywhere.  Time to start living in reality folks, not old school fantasy.

I realize our children need to learn the staple facts and know how to use the traditional tools, ie. dictionaries, etc.  However, this new stuff MUST be available to them and taught within the context that it is.
