Ok, my absolutely coolest Aunt ever sent me this site: www.meez.com

I am still setting things up, but will update later today.  This is like so cool.  I think the point is to create a new you – well, I was pretty conservative, but hey, at least in the digital world I am skinny :)

Ok, I think I have it: http://images.meez.com/user02/05/09/10/050910_10004350162.gif

Mommy Blogs

I was just reading this http://www.marketingvox.com/archives/2007/02/27/marketers-love-their-mommy-blogs/?rss1 and I get it, I do.   Mommy blogs are great and to be honest, reading and posting to the iVillage message boards (http://parenting.ivillage.com/messageboards) while I was out on bed rest really was great, a supportive community of you will.  But, why everytime mommy blogs are referred to someone has to talk about the “emotional connection”.  Are “mommies” the only species that are emotional when blogging?  Don’t think so.  Maybe I need to finish my coffee and not take things so personally, but geez.

This is news?

I can’t believe this is a Reuters headline (http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews.aspx?type=healthNews&storyid=2007-02-27T031235Z_01_N26323700_RTRUKOC_0_US-HOSPITAL-WINDOWS.xml&src=nl_ushealth1100).  Like, no kidding.  And the best part is, they call it a “low-tech” solution.

Seriously going to be sick…..PR Crisis for sure

Ok, I am sure you have all read about this by now (http://www.bulldogreporter.com/dailydog/issues/1_1/dailydog_pr_biz_update/index.html).  But in this day and age, with streaming video and everything so incredibly viral, one would think that the restaurant would have this “issue” under control.  Come on.

Bell Ringers!

Ok, for those of you who are not in PR and not in New England, Bell Ringers could mean a group of ringers at church.  However, if you are in PR and in New England the term Bell Ringers (http://www.pubclub.org/bellringer.php) means excitement, anticipation and hard work.  Each year, several of our campaigns/coverage for our clients are up for nomination.  And this year is no different.  I am fortunate enough to work on two submissions for one of my clients.  Last year I was lucky enough to actually attend the Bell Ringer Ceremony and it was a great time.  Hundreds of PR professionals gathered for a nice meal and an event MC’ed by Billy Costa (http://www.kiss108.com/pages/billycosta.html).  It’s a great time to celebrate all of the hard work and creative juices that go into successful PR programs.  This week we are wrapping up all of the submissions and it’s a great time in PR!  And what a small world – The President of the Publicity Club of New England is a former client of mine and the VP is a very dear friend.  Again, if you are in PR and in New England, you know what a very small world this is :)

I was just reading this (http://www.bulldogreporter.com/dailydog/issues/1_1/dailydog_journalists_speak_out/index.html ) in Bull Dog Reporter.  Brian interviews Burt Helm of BusinessWeek Online (http://www.businessweek.com/the_thread/brandnewday/index.html).  Some good points.

When I first heard about Second Life (http://www.secondlife.com/), I really didn’t think much of it thought that this was just another geek-thing.  Well, as I have learned over the past few months, it may be a geek-thing, but it also a very realy thing.  Check this article out about Toyota’s ads…http://www.boston.com/business/technology/articles/2007/02/26/advertising_in_a_virtual_village/?rss_id=Boston+Globe+–+Business+News
